VBS News Net: On September 10, a series of activities of Teacher's Day were held with the warm blessing of students.

On this Teacher's Day, all teachers rejected parents' flowers and gifts to create a green campus at the initiative of Principal Yang. In the morning, the teachers who had just entered the school were surrounded by flowers. The school presented sunflowers to each employee.

Each teacher has received cards and small gifts from the students, including flowers made of Lego, handicrafts, mathematical equations, and videos edited by the parents. The students of 4O wrote poems to express love to the teachers.

On this day, students of the first junior high school graduation class made a special trip back to VBS from all over Shenzhen to visit the principal and teachers. They talked about the future, and their eyes were filled with love. 

At 2 p.m. that day, starting with a song by the school choir, VBS held the 2021 Teacher's Day celebration in the theater. All teaching staff participated in the celebration.

In the three years since its establishment, VBS has given children the nutrients of life with diverse courses, stimulated children's internal drive for learning with differentiated and responsive classes, built a family school community with sincere love, and foreseen children's bright future with innovation and creation. VBS has become a rock-climbing characteristic school of China Mountaineering Association, Green School of Guangdong Province, Experimental School of education internationalization of Guangdong Province, the competitive training base of chess reserve talents of Guangdong Province, the school with the most future characteristics, International Education Innovation Model School, Experimental School of education internationalization, 5G leading demonstration school, Shenzhen pilot school for the prevention and control of myopia among children and adolescents and the advanced unit of education in Longhua District. Teachers and students of the school have won awards in various competitions. Students' scores are among the best in the high school entrance examination and the unified examination of Longhua District. 

Principal Yang encourages teachers to be confident, strive for VBS and the growth of students, dare to take responsibility, take care of children with sincere love, and do their best to be the best teachers.

To commend the teachers and teams who have always been with the school, the school has set up the Perseverance Award, Pangu Award, Responsibility Award, and Team Award. Principal Yang and Assistant Principal Ms. Lin presented certificates to the winners. The representatives of the award-winning teachers made speeches one after another, saying that they would continue to work hard to create a better future with love and diligence.

A video from the students made the teachers laugh. The children expressed their gratitude to teachers with naive words. 

In the celebration, three young teachers presented flowers to three teachers (Principal Yang, Ms. Li Hongyu, and Ms. Jin Huaihong) who have been teachers for more than 30 years.

Principal Yang’s remarks

This is the most relaxing Teacher's Day in my 30-year education career. After I sent my letter, children and parents expressed their gratitude to the school, teachers, and me in the most simple, free, and sincere way. 

At this Teacher's Day celebration, firstly, I hope teachers can keep growing. VBS is a place where students, teachers, and parents grow up together. The students in Grade 9 needed us to break the conventional teaching model of Math, and Assistant Principal Ms. Lin took the lead in making changes. The children's hearts needed to be comforted. Ms. Zheng Jiajia led the team to bring life planning classes to the family. Literacy is an important content of primary school Chinese lessons. Ms. Jiang Xueying created the word card for literacy. Making every effort to create an education suitable for students' growth is the direction of our growth. Secondly, I hope teachers can be confident. No matter how the world or society changes, education will not change dramatically because its theme will never change. That is love. It is the common language of mankind. Taking care of children's growth is our eternal work.

The school has set up the Perseverance Award, Pangu Award, Responsibility Award, and Team Award. Its internal meaning is that those who strive for VBS and the growth of students are also the most cherished people of VBS. They made efforts to implement VBS's concept and curriculum. Those people and teams will always be recorded in VBS's history. When students, colleagues, and schools have difficulties, they dare to take responsibility. They are the people that VBS will never forget. We should highly commend a good team.

Hello! Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are coming. I wish you a happy holiday!

In the three years since its establishment, Vanke Bilingual School has received parents' understanding and full support. On behalf of the school, I would like to express my gratitude to you here! Education is the greatest benefaction. The mission of VBS is to be responsible for students' lifelong development and cultivate talents for our country and the world.

In this September, VBS entered the second three-year planning period. In the coming three years, all teaching staff will continue to make efforts to adhere to the school concept of teaching for the unknown and learning for the future and the goal of nurturing Chinese citizens who possess good health, sound personality, academic excellence, international horizons, patriotism and the courage to create a better future. VBS will implement the school concept, optimize the educational ecology of schools and families, improve courses, carry out activities, pay attention to every student, help them experience the future, protect their curiosity, stimulate their internal drive for growth, and cultivate their learning ability.

The cultivation of self-learning consciousness and ability is the daily work of VBS, which requires teachers and students to change their way of teaching and learning. We will try to stimulate students' internal drive for learning and make learning an interesting journey. The DLC China deep learning center carried out online training with High Tech High school tutors in the United States. High tech high is a school famous for its innovation and a founding school of the PBL concept. We are ready to lay a solid foundation for students' better growth.

VBS is a learning school with a growth mindset, takes lifelong growth as the core value, sets up life planning courses for students, a VBS Academy for Teachers' Professional Development, and a VBS Academy for Parents' Development, striving to make the school a place where students, teachers, and parents grow together. At the beginning of this semester, the school will restart the VBS Academy for Parents' Development to provide you with professional support.

At the moment of the 100th anniversary founding of the CPC, VBS incorporated the party history into the History, Morality, and Law courses from primary school to junior high school, which guided the students to pay more attention to the world, their motherland, the social development, and the fate of mankind. VBS strives to cultivate qualified successors with the courage to take responsibility.

This year, the government has issued several policies for the healthy growth of children. Please believe that children will learn more happily, independently, and efficiently. We are willing to accept any inspection. I hope parents can understand, think and plan their child's future from the essence of education, reduce anxiety, work with the school to reduce the burden of students' schoolwork and after-school training, return the time of independent learning to the children, and return the happy childhood to the children.

In the high school entrance examination in 2021, we proved that VBS's practice is outstanding with students' excellent physical and mental health and excellent academic achievements. VBS will work harder and use our creative practice to foresee the bright future of children!

The 37th Teacher's Day is coming. It is a time for students and parents to express their gratitude to teachers. Every Teacher's Day, we are immersed in happiness and moving. I am very appreciated that. Education depends on edification. Since this year, all our teaching staff will have a special Teacher's Day. The school has prepared a celebration and dinner for each teaching staff. We also prepared cards for each student to express their gratitude to teachers. As the principal, I sincerely propose that love and gratitude should be kept in your hearts. We will study and progress together and try our best to create a better educational ecology for children. We will refuse all material gifts such as flowers and banquets from parents. Please understand us as usual, and let our campus be full of sincere love and joy!
