VBS News Net: VBS held a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, cultivating teachers' and students' patriotism.

Together with Shenzhen cares for the next generation working committee, VBS held an activity, inviting a veteran party member to tell party history on the afternoon of June 30 to cultivate students' patriotism. Mr. Duan Yabing, Executive deputy director of Shenzhen cares for the next generation working committee, former Vice Minister of Publicity Department of Shenzhen Municipal Party committee, gave a special lecture on 'the CPC leads China to become a powerful country' for all teachers and students of VBS.

Mr. Duan Yabing was an infrastructure engineer. He made outstanding contributions to Shenzhen's economic construction and published more than 20 books. In the lecture, he talked about the two times of opening up in modern China, analyzed the reasons for China's backwardness in modern times, briefly mentioned the history of the CPC, and analyzed the construction of Shenzhen and China's three times of Reform and opening up. The CPC is the mainstay of China's modernization and the Party that works for the people. Facing the new international situation, China has opened up for the third time and tried to optimize competition and cooperation with other countries in the world. For example, the government is implementing The Belt and Road and the Greater Bay Area strategy.

Principal Yang expressed her gratitude to Mr. Duan Yabing for his coming. At the same time, she hoped that all the teachers and students of the school would strengthen their faith, follow the Party, study hard, and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

During the lecture, all the teachers and students were absorbed and concentrated, highly praised by Mr. Duan Yabing. After the conference, VBS Young Pioneers representatives presented flowers to Mr. Duan Yabing.

On the morning of July 1, the teachers of VBS listened to the speech of Chairman Xi. On behalf of the Party and the people, he declared, 'through the continuous struggle of the Party and the people, we have achieved the first Centennial goal, and are marching towards the second Centennial goal of building a powerful socialist country. Looking back on the past and looking forward to the future, with the CPC's leadership, the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the goal of building a socialist modern country in an all-around way will be realized.'

Holding the flag-raising assembly

On July 1, the 19th-week flag-raising assembly was held in classrooms because of the COVID-19. 4C and 4D undertook the assembly. Luo Yanxi from 4C and Peng Ganfeng from 4D co-hosted the assembly. Wang Zihan from 4C and Gao Ziyuan from 4D gave a speech. Their topic was Childlike heart to the Party and confident Forward.

Today is destined to be a special day. We are here to hold a grand flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 100th birthday of the great Chinese Communist Party.

Whenever the bright five-star red flag rises in front of my eyes, a picture of history will be slowly shown in front of my eyes. It won the independence of the country and the peace of the nation. 

Our Party led the people of all ethnic groups in the country to start the road of national reconstruction and national rejuvenation. 

Peace and calm, happiness and laughter, wealth and prosperity, never come by themselves. The brilliance is the result of the Party's wisdom; peacefulness is the burden of the Party to move forward. One hundred years are too long. For us who were born under the red flag, for us who were born in the peaceful era and enjoy our happy childhood, we may not realize the tragic and majestic of the martyrs blood-stained in the Xiangjiang River, or the Red Army soldiers on the Long March. 

We will not experience this, but we must not forget the sacrifice and dedication of our predecessors. We live too happily, but we cannot forget where happiness comes from? Not to forget that we still have a mission!

At this moment, on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the Party, please allow me, in the name of the young pioneers, to make an oath together: Childlike heart to the Party, to live up to the Party's favor; study hard, relay for the country; strive to be a pillar, confident Forward. Thank you!
