VBS News Net: On the afternoon of May 28, VBS specially invited Mr. Tang Qinhua to lecture on the civil code in the school theater to study and implement Chairman Xi's new concept and strategy of law-based governance.

On May 28, 2020, the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China was adopted at the 3rd Session of the 13th NPC, which has been officially implemented since January 1, 2021. Mr. Tang Qinhua explained the civil code comprehensively and systematically with specific cases of the cooling-off period on divorce, community property, matrimonial community debt, child custody, and Anti-Family Violence law. He analyzed the disputes close to real life, such as husband and wife's property division, and introduced the ways of rights protection when people's interests are prejudiced. VBS staff learned a lot of legal knowledge from Mr. Tang's lecture.

Rules and systems of marriage and family are of great significance. This lecture made all staff truly feel the importance of the promulgation of the civil code, understand how to safeguard their legitimate rights, and enhance their awareness of the rule of law, playing an essential role in creating a harmonious and stable social atmosphere.
