VBS News Net: On April 18, the chess competition in Longhua District was held in Shenzhen Longhua Experimental School, and Ms. Hu Yuwen of VBS won the Go competition in the female section.

The competition was sponsored by the Longhua District Education Bureau and the Longhua District Education Union Federation, which was divided into Go, Chess, and Chinese Chess. The players are all teachers from schools in Longhua District. There are five rounds in the competition, three rounds in the morning, and two rounds in the afternoon. The Go game is mixed. In the game, Ms. Hu Yuwen was calm and finally won first place in the Go female section.

 


 

After the game, Mr. Liang Weitang, the ninth-dan Go player, presented awards to the winners and played Go with the players.

Ms. Hu Yuwen is a second-level Go player in China. She loves Go and is willing to promote Go. When she was in college, she served as the school's chess society president and used her spare time to teach primary school students about Go. When she was studying in the UK, she often exchanged ideas with Go players from all over the world in the London Chess Club. She also defeated the former British Go champion at the Irish Open. In VBS, she often communicates with children who love Go. She supports and encourages them to stick to their hobbies because winning the games requires perseverance and hard work. This activity showed the clear thinking and comprehensive qualities of VBS teachers.
