The overdue commencement finally began

VBS News Net: Today's the day worth remembering. The overdue commencement finally began after three months. VBS had its 432 students from Primary 1, 2 and 3 back to school with joy. Hence, all 620 students had returned to their school for lessons. 







Principal Yang personally welcomed students at the school gate. Students were cheerfully walking into the school and greeting their beloved Principal.






Following the stickers on the floor, students maintained their social distancing to enter the school before getting temperature taken and hands sanitised.









Life teachers took their sleeping bags and sterilised them before putting them into the siesta rooms.



 





Students were surprised by teachers at the gate whom delivered flowers to them before passing through the infra-red temperature taking channel. In the classroom, students had their welcome back cards. Parents were touched as they had seen teachers giving flowers to students for the first time.























































Teachers took their temperatures again before entering the classroom.

Students were confused to find their seats but to realise their classroom in a brighter setting and VBS mascots on the whiteboard were welcoming them. Notice . 'I am excited and happy to be back but I am worried because I forgot my seats,' Zhong Xuan from 1G said. Liu Jifan from 1G was thrilled about playing football again with PE teachers at the playground. Another student was fascinated about returning to school to wake up early in the morning.








































Flag-raising Assembly began at 7.40 am sharp with different . Students heard Principal Yang's speech again as she led the first lesson of the school term.











Safety was the top priority. Students learned the epidemic prevention and control knowledge from their class and life teachers and followed instructions.



















Students from Year 7 and 8 shared their experience to their juniors and asked them to remain social distancing, not to congregate and to frequently wash hands by teaching the seven-step hand-washing methods. One student motivated them by telling her story on her improvement in English. Her mark was not very in her primary school years. After studying at VBS, she learned to be optimistic and proactive to score well.
































During the recess, students queued to enter the washroom. Teachers played the music to make them feel relaxed and lively.











As the term begins, VBS will continue to provide value-adding studies to students and learning atmosphere so that they have happy studying and embrace the future with optimism, wisdom, far-sightedness and proactiveness.
