VBS News Net: Person-in-charge at Minzhi Station at Administration for Market Regulation in Longhua District, Shenzhen Municipality Ms. Lei Xiaotong led a three-person group to inspect VBS canteen on 11th May. Head of General Affairs Mr. Lucas Lin welcomed the inspection group.
The inspection group entered the kitchen to inspect stocks, washing equipment, processing and food sample areas thoroughly and take a comprehensive review on invoices, sanitary conditions, sterilisation of cutlery, health certificate and training of the crew and food consumption.
The inspection group has spoken highly of the meticulous management and high-end equipment that VBS offers, and has asked the school to continue to manage food safety well to ensure the health of staff and students.
Dining is a crucial part for students in school which safety and health must be guaranteed. VBS follows the food safety management scheme and focuses on providing nutritional diets for students while promoting 'clearing your plates' campaign to foster good dining habits. During the epidemic prevention and control period, staff take different time slots to dine and maintain social distancing.
Students have their meals at their respective classrooms with single table, with life teachers in-charge. Students commend the food provided by the school. Many students have expressed their fond of school canteen during the holidays while some parents choosing VBS because of its food service. Life teachers have also conducted dry-runs during students dining time, including wearing masks and gloves to distribute food, when to take their temperatures and where to put masks to ensure the dining orders and safety.
