VBS News Net: VBS organised counter-terrorism contingency dry-runs on 26th May to enhance the emergency response towards school terrorism and ensure the safety of staff, students and assets. Head of General Affairs Mr. Lucas Lin, Head of Security Mr. Kane Zhang and all security team members took part in this dry-run.

Security guards had their training on skills to mastery basic anti-riot skills and familiarise the proper use of shields, batons, and steel forks. The dry-run began at 10 a.m at the school gate, with an imaginary suspect trying to rush into the school with dangerous weapons. Security guards launched counter-terrorism contingency plan and acted quickly to use shields and steel forks to defend. The suspect was taken down by multiple security guards.

Mr. Lucas Lin reviewed the entire process and stated the necessity and great importance of dry-run. He asked the security team to effectively carry out the dry-run in various forms to maintain the safety of staff and students.

This dry-run was handled well and ordered to improve the safety level of the school and the level of responses performed by the security team.
