VBS News Net: Led by Party Branch Secretary Principal Yang, all party members of CPC at VBS watched the replay of Mr. Liu Zicheng, secretary of Central Education Work Leading Group on explaining the guideline for deeper reform of its evaluation systems released jointly by the CPC Central Committee and State Council to study its core ideas on 7th January.

Secretary Principal Yang hoped everyone focus on reforms in education and establish the correct views on education development and talent development to motivate students on independent studies so that they could contribute in the education sector.

After their studies, party members shared their reflections.

Ms. Ma Wei said, 'As an educator, I have to implement and execute the party's leadership on education. I also have to remain resolute towards the socialist development of schools and complete the mission to nurture students for the country. I also will dedicate myself to the education development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and improve my theory knowledge.'

Ms. Angelina Zheng Jiajia said, 'As a teacher for life planning, I have to think about what kind of curriculum really nurtures students. I have to catch up with reforms in education to complete evaluation schemes for life planning lessons.'

Ms. Victoria Zhang Lan said, 'I have to improve studies and research on evaluation system to evaluate students to facilitate their independent studies in my current and future teaching roles.'

Ms. Rao Biyi said, 'Formative assessment shall be implemented for ethics and legality subject due to its characteristics. We cannot use summative assessment to rate students. We must have an objective assessment from real life, even an observation about their bahaviour.'

Ms. Yan Xiai said, 'The guideline has specified to remove the orientation to evaluate students by scores or university enrollment. As one of the teachers, I have to rectify my standards to evaluate my students and emphasise the nurturing of students as my main teaching objectives. I will take other factors into account to evaluate students - culture, virtues instead of scores only. I will allow students to gain happiness, truthfulness and promote their mental health and holistic development.'

Ms. Dong Chunyue said, 'VBS students are blessed to have such a variety of classes to see the different sides of the world, even those who are studying for their high school entrance exams. I asked them if they are happy to be here for three years. They smiled and said yes to me. There is still a long way to go for the reforms in education, but it is a good start.'

VBS currently has 16 CPC members. Since the establishment of party branch, regular party building activities are held. Led by Secretary Principal Yang, all members study the core ideas of documents published by the central committee to improve their level of thinking and help develop the school as role models.
