Mr. Yu Bing - receving an honour and determination

It was an honour to be part of this contest to learn more things during the process. I must thank superiors for their trust on me. I was both excited and nervous at the beginning. I gain more understanding about class teacher work, moral education, psychology and pedagogy as well as being a caring and wise teacher. I have seen others strengths and my weakness through this contest. I receive an honour and determination. We can do this well.

Ms. Chen Jiamin - Feel blessed and keep on with my original intention

This contest came to us really quick. I must thank superiors for giving me this opportunity to learn from this contest. We have challenged ourselves to be better with more learning points. I also found my weakness from this contest.

I still remember those moments to prepare for the finals after it is over. Preoccupied with school work during the day, I reviewed the contents after work at night. In order to stand out in the finals, we worked in teams to look at different topics - role of class teachers, key topics and issues of moral education to bring out strategies and way of thoughts. This contest made me reflect on the skills of being class teachers, the strength of teamwork, consistency in hard work to be an educator. I will continue to learn as I train myself as a class teacher to offer my students a more fulfilling experience in education and their studies.

Ms. Liu Huan - we are practising ourselves to be wise class teachers

As the oldest class teacher in the team, I was lucky to work with two dedicated class teachers for this contest. I must thank the school to give me this opportunity to learn from other class teachers in Longhua District and grow.

Based on moral education comes first mindset, the written preliminary round focused on questions and design of class meeting about pedagogy, psychology, regulations on class teachers and moral education principles. We guessed the questions right and the class meeting theme was about life education. All of us were able to observe the scene, analyse the issue, focus on the root cause, research and solve problems to apply what we learnt. We managed to qualify for the finals.

13 teams gathered at the finals to compete against one another on topics on class teachers tasks, key issues and topics on moral education and strategies to solve problems on a reasonable basis. We made our presentation after 30-minute preparation. We were calmed to deliver our experience and principles after discussions. This 7-minute presentation allowed us to reflect on our past work.

I was more nervous as I observed the rest of the finals than being on stage. Teams brought out different styles - forums, live stream, train services to impress everyone, but I guessed our group stood out by the presentation content.

This contest experience is a learning journey to improve ourselves. We are practising ourselves to be wish class teachers.
