VBS News Net: Goethe once said, 'Every reader, if he has a strong mind, reads himself into the book, and amalgamates his thoughts with those of the author,' all VBS residences teachers gathered at library to share their thoughts on the book Lifelong learning on 6th November to practise VBS lifelong learning concepts and to develop their core professional skills. Residence teachers discussed their reflections together with their work experience to have some enlightenments in a casual manner.
Ms. Luo Yanli said, 'After reading this book, I can see the world in a more positive way if I change my mindset,'
'There is a short period when students are very sensitive to grow, we have to guide them to have the growth mentality,' Ms. Wu Shuyi said.
Ms. Su Xiaoxin was enjoying herself since her arrival at VBS to begin with the growth mentality after taking one challenge after another to get use to the culture of lifelong development.
They also discussed the confusions at work. Some might now know what to do with students whose mood swang due to setbacks. Everyone proposed solutions to them and had the consensus that they had to encourage students to move on with positive mindset and the growth mentality.
Teachers sought inspirations from reading and enlightened one another by discussion before surpassing themselves via reflections. Deputy Head of Development Centre Ms. Huang Yajuan concluded this session. She suggested that everyone ought to take reading and learning as a must during their spare time to achieve lifelong growth.
Since the beginning of this semester, VBS staff joined Teachers' Academy for Professional Development in 16 different classes to share their thoughts on reading to have the growth mindset and lifelong learning. VBS is becoming a model of learning school and the place where parents, students and teachers learn together.
