VBS News Net: VBS Teachers' Day Celebration was held at school theatre on 10th September by mass singing ‘Brightest star in the sky'. Principal Yang, Assistant Principal Ms. Zheng, Assistant Principal Ms. Lin, Head of HR Ms. Gong, Head of Administration Centre Ms. Chen, Deputy Head of Development Centre Mr. Wu, Ms. Wu and Ms Huang attended the celebration with 200 staff members. 

This celebration was themed 'Be the best teacher and foresee the future with creation'. VBS commended teachers and staff who made excellent contribution in the previous academic year. 

Among the awardees, there were excellent class teachers, subject teachers, residence teachers and staff members who were dedicating behind the scenes. Awardees expressed their determination to be model teachers for students. 

VBS had more good news - Principal Yang was awarded excellent principal in Longhua District and Ms. Glora Guo was awarded the excellent class teacher in Longhua District.

Principal Yang invited four teachers on stage - Assistant Principal Ms. Zheng and Ms. Lin, Ms. Luo and Ms. Xin. They all had 30 years of teaching experience. Their stories were displayed by using their photos of the past and present, how they reunioned with their students. Teachers were moved by these photos. These four senior teachers were the salt of the earth in VBS and the role models for young teachers. Principal Yang wished them to stay youth when offering their love to students at work.

Led by Ms. Luo, all teachers recited the pledge again

 I am an honored teacher

 I stay loyal to education and fulfill my duties by the law

 I practise positive education and fairness in education

 I keep my original intention of teaching and nurturing students by heart

Act as an examplary person

Work for the lifelong happiness of students

the advanced development of Longhua District

 the great rejuvenation of China

with courage

The celebration also had recitals from teachers. Organised by Ms. Luo and written by Chinese Department, the poetry 'Be the best teacher' won the applause from the audience. 

VBS was a caring community. Every member would be blessed for their birthdays with birthday cake and regards. September birthday gents and ladies celebrated their birthdays and received massage devices selected by Principal Yang. 

Students also sent their gratitude on this day - flowers and cards were all over the teachers' desks.
