In order to make Science class comprehensive, practical, Ms Li Yin designed the class such that students were able to begin their comprehensive studies - observing the Moon to make calendar on the Moon phase before writing essays.

With questions 'Why lunar calendar instead of new calendar? why the Moon can be seen at daytime sometimes at different times? Is the Moon full only on 15th every lunar month? Is there any difference on the Moon between the day and night?', students started independent studies and made models to find out reasons. Guided by international Arts teachers, students put their thoughts into their productions - hand-made or painting planet models.

The Science class at VBS aimed to set no boundaries for students to build confidence and learn at the standard pace. Hence they could learn many different things each day and see their exponential growth. Every student would be a miracle so the role of educators were just guiding, motivating and observing them at different perspectives.

This inter-disciplinary studies enabled students to master scientific learning methods via observation, thinking, practice and innovation. Hence students acquired scientific awareness, thinking and passion to learn Science.
