VBS News Net: Winter Solstice has been a crucial solar term and festival in China where it could outweigh the Lunar New Year during ancient times. Eating dumplings becomes a tradition. VBS held a themed Winter Solstice session on 20th December on making dumplings. Over 140 staff took part in this session. 

At the start of the session, a short videoclip was played to introduce what Winter Solstice meant to China as a traditional festival.

Teachers from all over the world and China learned the techniques to make dumplings with ultimate joy. Principal Yang took the role of dumpling master to teach teachers making dumplings. Life teachers made the standard dumplings when international teachers made dumplings in all possible shapes and put them to form 'VBS'. After that teachers had a taste of dumplings of their own.

The culture of Northern China and Southern China comes across in VBS together with teachers from all over the world.
