VBS Innovative Programming Workshop shone at Shenzhen Student Maker Festival 2019

VBS News Net: Shenzhen Student Maker Festival 2019 in collaboration with 35th Shenzhen Youth Scientific innovation contest was held in the East Campus of Shenzhen Polytechnic. Invited by the organising committee, VBS innovative programming workshop attended this event as one of the two schools to represent all schools in Longhua District. Over 15,000 people were present.  






Themed as 'Intelligent new life, creation wins the future', the scientifc innovation progress in primary and secondary schools in Shenzhen was presented in the forms of guest lectures, exhibition of makers' creations, makers' challenge, makers' workshop, performance and exhibition of 2nd batch maker lab results. 1,200 creations of all genres from schools among Shenzhen were presented to the visitors. The items made by VBS sudents - 'Learn Chinese characters in the maker way - stacking' by Wang Chao, 'Myopia-proof reader' by Chen Hongyi, 'Luminous Boxes' by Peng Shilan were invited to display onsite.

VBS innovative programming workshop was jointly created by Admission Office and Innovation Group. Students and parents could enjoy the demonstration of AI robots and gaming software programmed by VBS students. Many students were attracted to the robots and A rduino programming games.











 

Visitors also complimented the productions such as vaccum cleaner, intelligent lamps presented at the VBS booth.

Parents were fascinated by the school's AI classes and inquired in details about it when reading the school magazine.

Mr Shi had put in much more effort in making this workshop a success as he had set up the booth in advance. All exhibitors, Mr Shi, Ms Wu, Ms Chen, Ms Wang, Ms Sun, Mr Gao and Ms Linda travelled to the venue. This innovative programming workshop was result of successfully implementing AI classes and gained social recognition. VBS would strive to realise a future-oriented education by advanced ideas and classes to be the pilot school in Shenzhen for the scientific education.
