VBS News Net: Making fire balloons, building architecture model, studying programming and painting, parents spent a half-day at VBS Open Day on 26th November to bring back their studying memories but learn something different this time.
All classes from Primary School were open to parents to observe this day. Parents were able to speak to teachers and understand the school curriculum better.
Classes in VBS aim to develop students' inner strength to study through fun and interactive ways, thus students were able to participate and learn.
In the Chinese class, students learnt characters via games with passion, parents got themsevles involved into it.
In the English class, students were used to the immersive English teaching and improved their English skills fast which surprised parents.
In AI class, parents were astonished to see their children designing games by programming.
In architecture class, parents built the towers with their children.
In science class, parents joiend their children to make the fire balloon.
In the music class, international teachers taught students to recognise instruments and their respective sounds. As they learnt English, they also improved their knowledge in music.
In PE class, parents opened their eyes when they saw their children having football and basketball training under the guidance of professional international coaches.
During the Parent-Teacher Conference, teachers explained in details on the school curriculum set up, analysed the knowledge structures of each subject and learning objectives. As they shared the progress made by students and expressed gratitude to the support given by parents. Parents also shared their experience on nurturing kids' habits.
VBS offered diverse courses (Inner Strength, The Extra Mile and Booster) to students who were able to learn many things from hundreds of compulsory and elective lessons. With such joy and variety of classes, parents understood how eager their kids would like to attend school.
VBS Open Day served as communication channels for parents and teachers which provided opportunities for them to work together so that students are bettered prepared for the future.
