Every participant submitted a payment of 30 RMB as the sign-up fee which would be donated to the Volunteering Service Fund in Longhua District. 350 international friends took part in this run and the donation worth 10,500 RMB was given by organising committee of 2019 Longhua Youth Running onsite witnessed by everyone.

The one-and-half hour running started at 9 am and had three contests which were 3km leisure run, 6km joyful run and 12km mini-marathon run.

This running also had an interactive session in the end. As runners finished their running, they could vote for their favourite public welfare lessons out of 10 lessons. Volunteering Union at Longhua District would collaborate with interested runners to jointly initiate international youths public welfare activities by supporting the implementation of the top six lessons voted this time.

This running had the concept of 'Hello' - H stood for health, E stood for environment, C stood for commonwealth, L stood for Love and V stood for volunteering. Based on the 'Hello' concept, Committee of Youth League at Longhua District took this opportunity to unite the international youths by environmental friendly public welfare causes and to form a group of international volunteers within Longhua District which would participate in the youth exchange projects and special volunteering activities after setting up volunteering system and training sessions. This contributed to the building of international Longhua District and the demonstration pilot zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics.

It’s my first time to join a marathon in China, I was very impressed, it was very organized and the organizers were super friendly and helpful, At the end there was a big ceremony to distribute prizes and medals. It was a great event and I recommend it for every one.
