Round the Clock Curriculum Scheme

Vanke bilingual offers “round the clock curriculum scheme”to families. This solves the childcare before and after class in the morning and in the evening so that the children can better receive the omnibearing tutor from the teacher and concentrate on their study with no course load when they arrive home. Thus a harmonious family relationship is established

Online and Offline Courses

The school implements teaching based on Apple system’s Mac and iPad terminals. On the basis of this advantage, the school brings about abundant interactive course experience. The students can absorb knowledge while systematically study and grasp the information technology and touch the future. Thus they realize their fantasies and usher in the era of AI.

Bilingual Immersion Teaching

Vanke Bilingual School offers Chinese and English bilingual immersion teaching which has a history of over 40 years of research across the world. The research results prove that immersion education can effectively help the students to make great achievement in foreign language learning.

Convert Foreign Quality Courses to School Based Courses

Foreign STEAM course concept and the essence of the leadership course are introduced to establish the school based curricula combining Chinese and western elements. Strongly supported by hardware resources, such as the place for abundant extra-curricula activities and STEAM classroom, and the external and internal resources of Vanke, the school provides a platform for the students to learn and practise abundant STEAM course concepts and the leadership course, encourages the children to develop and make progress in scientific, technological, engineering, mathematical and artistic areas and cultivate the children’s comprehensive quality so as to enhance their global competitive edge.

Integration Courses of Chinese and Western

Chinese, History, Geography and Politics in national basic courses are taught by Chinese teachers. English, Drama, Math, Science, Information, Art, and so forth in the national basic courses are taught by Chinese and foreign teachers together or taught by foreign teachers independently in English. So that students can immerse in a bilingual environment daily and improve their English, the ability to learn and thinking.

Student Evaluation

Learning Evaluation

The evaluation concept that focuses on self scale, pays attention to process and promotes development”is adhered to to evaluate students’ academic achievement. Principles of development, objectivity, stimulation and so forth are adhered to and evaluation depends on advanced evaluation tools and platform. The key of evaluation should be the developmental stage and level of the students, which values student’s process of participation, learning and innovation.

The Evaluation Method

The means of evaluation are divided into “e-portfolio of students’ growth”, “curriculum learning report”and “report on comprehensive development” according to the year and the courses. The teacher evaluates the students’ learning process and activities. This is manifested by objects, photos, single grade and descriptive comment.

VBS-Online System

The system records the evaluations of homework, quiz, exams, attendance, activities and so forth and a comprehensive evaluation at then end of term. A connection between study and evaluation can be established and an effective system is used to evaluate the student’s character, preference, career interest, academic achievement, metal and physical development from Grade 1 to Grade 9. A comprehensive life planning and academic direction will be given to the student after the data are collected, which promotes the student’s personalized learning and development.

Channels to Enter High School

Since Grade 8, students in Vanke Bilingual School are divided between two channels to higher schools based on their choice to further their study abroad or in China. Vanke Bilingual School’s “VBS course” will satisfy students’ different demands and provide different courses for students so that they can prepare for their lives.
